In a recent interview with Sports Chosun, N-Train‘s Jung Kyun revealed that he had almost become the victim of fraud if it had not been for JYJ’s Jaejoong.
Leader Jung Kyun is known for once being a part of a group named ‘TACHYON‘ through MBC’s ‘Show Survival‘. After the show came to an end and his team’s promotions came to a halt, Jung Kyun revealed that he had almost gotten caught up in fraud twice.
He began, “In 2008, our team got in contact with a Chinese agency and even contracted with them. Unfortunately, an earthquake occurred near the area and we never got in contact with them again, which ruined our chances of advancing in China. A member then departed, so only the two of us remained. We met a person that claimed to be an employee of ‘Avex Japan‘ and held a few meetings with him. He even showed us pictures of Avex artists so we had no choice but to believe him and headed off to Japan.”
He continued, “At the time, JYJ’s Jaejoong was promoting in Japan with TVXQ. Since he was under Avex, I asked him about that employee and he said, ‘There is no employee here with that name.’ Something felt wrong the more we talked about it so I called Jaejoong again and described the person to him. Jaejoong said, ‘There’s nobody like that here. He is not an Avex employee, hurry up and go back.’”
As if that wasn’t enough, Jung Kyun added, “The final tragedy of 2008 was that we got into a lawsuit with our former agency. They didn’t have the power or money to care for us so we took them to court and won in May of 2009. After, I auditioned here and there and got into contact with Media Line and joined N-Train.”
