 Group Super Junior’s Yesung revealed his black hair on the 24th through his twitter.

 Netizens spotted something missing on CN Blue’s leader, Jung Yonghwa’s finger during the press conference for CN Blue’s new album release at Seoul Yeongdeunpo Times Square on March 21st. It was none other than the YongSeo couple ring.

Super Junior Siwon and Donghae to begin filming for their Taiwanese drama

After making an announcement almost two years ago, Taiwanese cable station ‘Gala Television‘ (GTV) has confirmed that filming for their new 13 episodes drama, “Glamorous Challenge“, will commence on March 31st! The Taiwanese drama attracted international ELF attention after it was revealed that Super Junior members Donghae and Choi Si Won were casted for it.

Since it’s been put on the backburner for two years, most of the original cast and director have left the production. But thankfully, Si Won and Donghae are still in it and they will be acting alongside Taiwanese actresses, Ivy Chen Yi Han (陳意涵) and Bianca Bai Xin Hui (白歆惠).

Niu Cheng Ze (鈕承澤) who was to have directed the drama, now becomes the producer while Feng Jia Rui (馮家瑞) will take over the director’s seat.

Despite their top A-list billing, both of them have asked to be treated like everyone else.
Though they’ll be staying in Taiwan for four months, they haven’t asked for any special requests, like staying in hotels and extra security.

“Glamorous Challenge” is a live-action adaptation of a Japanese manga called “Skip Beat“, and it’s about a girl, Kyoko (Ivy) who gets betrayed by her long-time boyfriend. In an attempt to get revenge, she debuts as a celebrity; the storyline unfolds with various romantic adventures and hijinks.
Si Won will be playing top star, Ren while Donghae is cast as popular singer, Sho.
No word yet on when the drama will be aired.

SM Entertainment have yet to receive the ‘Korean Day’ request from Oryx

 SM Entertainment said they have yet to receive official request from Oryx Buffaloes to have SNSD in Osaka on April 23rd for the ‘Korean Day’ baseball match.


On March 10th SM Entertainment told Star News, “We have not received any request from Oryx’s side regarding SNSD’s participation in the match which involves pitching and batting the first ball of the match, etc”.

Prior to this, a representative from Oryx Buffaloes said they have decided to invite the girls over for the game in Kyocera Dome, Osaka on April 23rd to cheer for Oryx Buffaloes and Korean baseball stars Park Chanho and Lee Seungyeob, pitching and batting the opening ball and also to sing the national anthem.
Since no official request was received so far, Park Chanho and Lee Seungyeob’s dream to have SNSD pitching and batting the opening ball in front of them seems to be rather uncertain.

In total, sixteen kpop stars will perform in a charity concert this May 14th, at the Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo–”Tokyo Legend 2011- Korean Music Wave Live in Tokyo.” The event will be hosted by MBC’s Music Core, Fuji TV, and Avex Entertainment.

Girl group 2NE1 will be appearing in next month’s issue of fashion magazine, “NYLON JAPAN”!

According to the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Togawa Takashi, 2NE1 will be appearing in the May edition of “NYLON JAPAN” as their cover girls. The shoot was planned to coincide with their official Japanese debut on March 16th, however, the debut was postponed indefinitely because of the Tohoku earthquake.

The magazine goes on sale on March 28th, and includes a limited number of exclusive 2NE1 posters. “NYLON JAPAN” will also donate ¥20 (approximately $0.25 USD) from every magazine purchased towards disaster relief efforts.

B2ST reaches 2nd place on the Oricon Weekly Chart

Having just released their debut Japanese album ‘SHOCK‘, the boys of B2ST already accrued immense popularity from the public, as the album climbed to second place on the Oricon Weekly Chart.

Oricon Style stated on their official site, “In just one week, B2ST’s debut album ‘SHOCK’ had sold 29,000 copies, which placed them second on the Oricon Weekly Chart. The group has set a new record for debut album sales not only in Japan, but in all of Asia.”

Yonghwa wrote an apology note and hand-made a scarf for Seohyun

On MBC “We Got Married Season 2” aired on March 19th, Jung Yonghwa tried his best to cheer Seohyun up again. Seohyun was upset due to the fact that Yonghwa lost her hand-made scarf in last week’s broadcast.

Actor Kim Soo Hyun performed his hit OST track from the “Dream High” OST, “Dreaming“, for the first time on today’s episode of “M! Countdown“!

“Dream High“ co-stars Eunjung and Kim Soo Hyun were recently featured in a new Spris CF!
In the short film, both Eunjung and Kim Soo Hyun play dancers  While Kim Soo Hyun’s character falls for Eunjung’s at first sight, her character doesn’t seem interested at all. However, his persistence and humor gradually breaks through her cool front.

Later, she spots a poster announcing a “Dream Project” contest (a play off of ‘Dream High’, perhaps?), and go back to the studio to rehearse. Eunjung’s character is especially dedicated to practice, but she overdoes it during a routine and injures her ankle.

While she’s sitting out with Kim Soo Hyun’s character, she frets that her injury will prevent her from dancing. She then takes the opportunity to ask him if dancing is his dream.
“Dream?” he asks. “No, I just do this for fun.”

But then we hear a voice-over from his character, “But did you know that a dream has formed in my heart since I’ve met you? I want to make the dream come true together.”

Suzy reveals her reason for picking Kim Soo Hyun as her ‘ideal type’

The latest episode of ‘Happy Together‘ featured the cast of “Dream High“, for which Kim Soo Hyun, Lee Yoon Ji, Lee Byung Joon, and miss A’s Suzy made their appearances.

Suzy caused some buzz earlier this month when she was asked to choose between Kim Soo Hyun or 2PM’s Taecyeon for the closest candidate to her ideal man. The hosts for “Happy Together” brought up the question again, and Suzy shyly revealed, “Between Taecyeon and Soo Hyun, I like Soo Hyun more… Soo Hyun is cuter. I like cute guys.‘

Suzy also told a hilarious story regarding her preparations for the role. “In ‘Dream High’, my character is a confident student who majors in singing. However, I have never studied singing, so most of the time I lipsync. The miss A unnies help me a lot by running through the script with me. However, the Chinese unnies have a Chinese accent, so I struggle a little.”

As a novice actress, what is the most difficult part about acting for her? To Suzy, it’s to use aegyo. She said, “I naturally don’t aegyo. When I have to chase after Kim Soo Hyun on screen, I’ve gotten a lot of NGs. Why can’t I just say, ‘I like you’?”

miss A’s Suzy causes 2PM’s Taecyeon to be jealous

Love stories between drama characters are always engaging to watch, but what happens when people try to translate them into the real world?

A new romantic fandom was created on December 4th after an interesting incident occurred during the “Dream High” cast interview with “Entertainment Relay“.


During the interview, it was revealed that miss A’s Suzy plays the love interest of both 2PM’s Taecyeon and Kim Soo Hyun. Attempting to bridge the gap between fiction and reality, the reporter asked Suzy, “Between Taecyeon and Kim Soo Hyun, which one of them is closest to your ideal man?”

Suzy, after much hesitation, chose Kim Soo Hyun, causing Taecyeon to burst out of his seat in a fit of jealousy. Taecyeon sputtered, “Normally people don’t choose, but she really chose!”

Castmate Lee Yoon Ji laughingly added, “This is the first time I saw an actress actually choose. Normally, people say ‘both’ or ‘I like this person for this and that person for that.‘”

Suzy shyly attempted to conclude the segment by stating, “I really had a hard time choosing!”

Fangirls are probably typing away furiously at ‘Taecyeon x Suzy’ fanfictions at this very moment.

B2ST’s Kikwang & IU reveal their feelings about their “Inkigayo” MC debut

After successfully making their debut as the two newest MCs for SBS’s “Inkigayo” yesterday, IU and B2ST’s Kikwang shared their feelings on joining fellow MCs Jo Kwon and f(x)’s Sulli .

IU revealed, “I have experience MCing for another music program, but since ‘Inkigayo’ is live, I was extremely nervous. Jo Kwon and Sulli gave me a lot of advice and led us well, so I feel that my first episode with ‘Inkigayo’ went smoothly.”

Kikwang added, “I was, of course, nervous since it was my first debut as an MC, but I learned to become more natural in front of the camera through my experience on variety programs. I’m close friends with Jo Kwon as well, so it was very comfortable. I tried hard to enjoy it as I went along.”

He continued, “I’ve been watching ‘Inkigayo’ since I was little and always dreamed of appearing on it. The thought of introducing my juniors and seniors as an MC of the program makes me feel really proud.”

MC Jo Kwon rated their performance by stating, “I taught Lee Kikwang how to make opening statements with an impact, and I think he learned it all very well. The two are more than prepared for the job.”

Sulli concluded, “It’s obvious that they worked and prepared very hard for the role. I’m looking forward to having fun and working together as four.”

Upcoming movie, “Professionals,” reveals impressive cast list

“Professionals,” an upcoming movie which will be directed by Choi Dong Hoon (known for “Jeonwoochi“) has revealed an impressive line-up cast on March 21st including the likes of Jun Ji Hyun, Kim Hye Soo, Lee Jung Jae, Kim Yoon Suk, and Kim Soo Hyun.
The movie’s plot revolves around the lives of professional thieves in a race to steal a diamond worth $40 million USD at a casino in Macau.
Kim Yoon Suk will be pited against Lee Jung Jae, while Kim Hye Soo will be playing the role of a femme fatale safe-cracker. Jun Ji Hyun will be a professional specializing in the theft of jewelries and antiques and Kim Soo Hyun will be the rookie addition to the crew.
Official crank-in for the movie is scheduled for this May.

4minute for “Elle Girl”

The ladies of 4minute are ready to usher in the spring season, as they recently shed their sassy looks for something softer for their latest photoshoot with “Elle Girl.”

Through the accompanying interview, the members revealed their thoughts on their goals for their upcoming album release. Jiyoon stated, “Through our overseas activities, we learned a lot of things, such as time management and stage experience.” Maknae Sohyun added, “With our upcoming album, we hope to show 100% of everything our five members couldn’t show before to our Korean fans.”

Leader Jihyun concluded, “When time passes, we that all five of us will live up to the title of ‘artist’ without embarrassment.”

CNBLUE releases first official album, “First Step”

On March 21st, CNBLUE finally released their much-anticipated first official album, “First Step“!
In a step towards becoming recognized as true musicians, the album contains a total of 12 tracks with songs personally written and composed by the members themselves.  Not only does it contain a slew of new songs, but the band’s past releases in Japan as well, such as “One Time” and “I Don’t Know Why,” both of which previously landed in the Oricon’s charts.

Their title track, “Intuition,” features a strong guitar sound with rhythmical, yet powerful vocals to round it out.   Leader Jung Yonghwa participated in the writing, composition, and arrangement for “Love Girl,” as well as member Lee Jong Hyun in “Love Rides the Rain” and “Thank You.”  “Just Please,” a track off of their Japanese single, features newly written Korean lyrics by Yonghwa as well.

CNBLUE releases MV for ‘Intuition’

Earlier, allkpop reported that boy band CNBLUE released their first full album, “First Step" On March 21st, the band released the full music video for their comeback song, “Intuition“.

In the music video, the four members of CNBLUE are depicted in two ways:  as street hoodlums and as themselves. As rebels, the boys are seen sneaking through the streets, using graffiti to tag ‘CNBLUE’ onto everything. They even trespass into a building and shove security guards out of their way!

When the security guards finally catch up to them, however, it’s revealed that the hoodlum versions were, in fact, their actual selves. But the band has myseriously disappeared, leaving behind only their instruments and a huge graffiti tag of their name on the rooftop.

Earlier this month, SNSD shot a video for the launching of Woongjin Coway’s new ice water purifier at Namyang-ju in Gyeonggi Province. Preparation for the shooting was made since the early morning and the girls were to stand in front of a beautiful and lively background.

The main slogan of the advertisement is called ‘Coway, Please Take Care of Mom!’, which sees the collaboration between Woongjin Coway, a brand name which promotes healthy and comfortable lifestyle and SNSD, Asia’s top girl group. The new product aims at providing convenience to mothers through painstaking designs, functionality as well as taking into account the various hygienic aspects.

At the shooting set, there were individual and group shots taking place at various ‘locations’ such as the kitchen, bathroom, living room and other settings which highlighted the everyday of life of house occupants. The construction of the ice water purifier and the ice tank is such that it ensures durability and caters for clean and hygienic usage, thus, emphasizing the slogan ‘ Coway, Please Take Care of Mom!’.

Meanwhile, lovely daughters Sooyoung, Taeyeon, Tiffany and Hyoyeon shot a cafe scene. From preparation to the shooting of the ad, it took a day long and it was really a tiring schedule for the girls.

According to the Chief of Woongjin Coway’s Marketing Division, the ‘Coway, Take Care of Mom!’ campaign will be carried out through out the year. The CF will soon be aired on Korean TV channels.
