MBC’s ‘I Am a Singer‘ revealed that they’ve received an invitation from the Australian Travel and Tourism Administration to hold a large-scale concert in Melbourne!
PD Shin Jung Soo explained, “It’s true that we’ve received an invitation from Australia, but things haven’t been decided yet. We have to make a field investigation sometime this month to get a feel for the situation. Since we will have to move a large group of people – including not only the singers, but their bands as well – a lot of aspects expense-wise need to be taken into account.”
Depending on the situation, the PD may be traveling with them, or another PD will take his place. Should the concert be finalized, the first generation members of the show will be joining the cast, and the show will briefly depart from its ranking systems in order to bring a concert-like atmosphere.
‘I Am a Singer’ has been working on a Korean concert for some time now, but if plans work out right, they may be holding one overseas, potentially creating a new force to the growing Hallyu wave.
